Hydro Roots

Promotes root growth and boosts resistance

Plagron Hydro Roots new product 2023 can and bottle

Hydro Roots is a root-strengthening additive containing phosphorus and boron. These different ingredients both have their own specific function. The combination of the components ensures an increase in nutrient absorption. The carefully selected mineral elements have a direct and positive effect on your plant root system.

Hydro Roots promotes the initiation and growth of roots. It increases the root branches (secondary roots) and thickens the root hair. Therefore, Hydro Roots improves root architecture. A well-developed root system improves the growth of your plants by increasing the uptake of nutrients and water.

Hydro Roots does not contain any organic elements. Therefore it’s perfectly suitable for growing in hydroponic systems. This also ensures that nutrient solutions are longer stable.

Due to phosphorus root growth is promoted, root length is increased and root cell division as well as root cell enlargement are improved.

Boron increases the activity of enzymatic systems which results in better nutrient absorption.

FAQ

We recommend using Hydro Roots with Hydro A+B, Green Sensation and Power Buds. But all additives from our UNIVERSAL line can be infinitely combined. You are free to mix and match to your heart’s content!

You want your plant to have enough roots at the beginning of the flowering phase, so that it can use its energy to produce flowers. Therefore, stop giving Hydro Roots after the third week of flowering.

The main difference is that Power Roots contains organic elements, therefore it is less suited for use in an irrigation system. We’ve developed Hydro Roots, which is strictly mineral, so it won’t cause any problems in your (circulated) irrigation system. In conclusion, Power Roots is better suited for hand feeding and Hydro Roots is better suited for system feeding. If you insist you can still use Power Roots in a system, but make sure to clean it regularly.
