NextGen Growplug

Promotes rapid and vigorous root development

NextGen Growplug

NextGen Growplugs are composed of white peat and washed, buffered coco coir. They are slightly fertilized, making them a perfect foundation for young plants. The coco/peat mix provides an ideal air/water balance. This creates a stable moist environment, which leads to more and longer roots as well as an increase in root hairs.

NextGen Growplugs are provided in a dry state, making them lightweight and mold-free. Their premade hole enables easy insertion of seeds or cuttings. The drainage holes in the tray prevent overwatering, ensuring a stronger and healthier plant.

After visible rooting, the plug should be transplanted into a growing medium. NextGen Growplugs are designed to stay intact during transplantation, making them easy to handle and ensuring the plant’s roots remain undamaged.

NextGen Growplug

The premade hole and flexible structure of the coco/peat mix make it easy to insert even fragile, freshly taken cuttings  without issue. Since no force is needed, the cutting remains undamaged.

Thanks to the combined properties of its peat and coco, NextGen Growplugs create an optimal air/water balance. Peat provides compactness, which helps retain water effectively. Coco ensures the mixture remains airy, giving roots space to grow. Together, they allow roots to develop fast and vigorously.

The coco and peat are bound together with an adhesive that keeps the plug intact even when removed from their tray. This allows for safe, regular checks of the plug for root development. The adhesive also keeps the plug intact during transplantation, ensuring the roots remain undamaged.

FAQ

You should water the plug when it starts to feel dry or lighter in weight. A good indicator is when the surface begins to lose moisture. You’ll want to maintain a slightly moist environment to support root growth. Do not let the plug dry out completely.

No, the tray is made of plastic. It is possible to cut it into sections to match the number of seeds or cuttings you have.

The plugs are slightly fertilized, but once there are roots we recommend providing a small amount of nutrients. Keep the EC of the nutrient solution below 1 mS/cm. Alternatively, you can transplant the plug into a growing medium.
