100% clear nutrient solution & organic origin
November 28, 2023You might have spotted that some of our products have been labeled with icons lately. For instance, improved recipe, faster rooting, stronger performance. These icons all speak fairly for themselves. However, there are two other new icons that might not be so obvious. Here’s an explanation.
Organic origin
Products with this icon are mainly made out of organic ingredients. An organic ingredient refers to something that originates or is derived from living organisms or natural sources. Organic origin involves utilizing natural substances and methods that promote soil health, ecological balance, and sustainability. Some examples of organic ingredients in relation to growing would be worm manure, bat guano, fish meal and algae extract.
Because of these organic origin ingredients, these products are best suited for feeding by hand. Why? Well, products that contain organic substances could leave residues in your irrigation system if you don’t clean your water often enough. This might cause some problems, such as clogged filters or foam in your nutrient tank. It is still possible to use organic origin products for system feeding if that’s your preference but be aware of cleaning your system regularly!

100% clear nutrient solution
The second icon is kind of the opposite of the organic origin story. This icon says “100% clear nutrient solution”, which indicates that this product mainly contains mineral ingredients. These ingredients are of synthetic origin and are composed by our own R&D department. Our Power Buds and Hydro Roots are provided with this 100% clear icon.
You can probably guess this already, but these mineral products are perfectly suited for feeding with a system. That’s because these products don’t contain (or just a tiny bit) organic ingredients. This means no clogging! Sounds good, right? You still have to clean your system from time to time of course, but there is no need to do it very regularly with these 100% clear nutrient solutions.
No worries, you can also choose to use mineral products or a combination of mineral and organic products when you feed your plants by hand. It all depends on what your wishes are. We just like for you to have options!
